This little community is located on the edge of Placer County which borders Yuba County and has a population of about 2800 residents. The community of Sheridan is spread out across an area of 26 miles and is primarily a farming and ranching community with a small downtown area. Sheridan is locaed along Highway 65 about 7 miles North of Lincoln and is a short drive to Marysville.
Some of my favorite things to do near Sheridan are to visit Bishops Pumpkin Farm in Wheatland which is a fun day trip with the family and is a great alternative fall activity to Apple Hill near Placerville. Camp Far West also is a great place to spend a weekend with a travel trailer and your boat or just visit for the day to fish, kayak or play in the water. The homes in Sheridan are mostly ranches and farms with lots of acreage and the homes in downtown Sheridan are mostly ranch style homes on smaller lots.
